Miles takes his duty as Charming's royal guard very seriously, so much so it might seem like his job makes up his whole personality. And he does in fact mostly show that disciplined and professional side of him. He's stern, reliable and hard-working. He rarely pays attention to his own needs and wants and would use his days off as opportunity to do chores or study.

Yet that doesn't mean there isn't more to him than he's willing to show. He hides a lot of insecurities behind his almost emotionless facade and does compensate his lack of self-esteem with hard work. It's what gives him a sense of value that he doesn't see in himself for just being himself, despite also being a caring person looking out for loved ones. Acts of service are certainly his main love language, even when he claims he just does it out of duty.

That being said, Miles deeply cares about his prince beyond his duties as a guard, even if he doesn't really seem to notice himself. He won't say anything, seeing Charming mingling with other people, being his usual flirty and seductive self but he does notice feelings of longing and jealousy that he can't really place. Or doesn't allow himself to. And while his prince does flirt with him too he has a hard time taking it seriously, for obvious reasons.
