Carnyx has always found peace in the woods, he doesn't really go into town unless he really needs supplies that can't be made or grown on his little plot outside of Bovine Bluffs. There is a certain freedom of not having to live in smaller places or neighbors close by, the sounds of nature are soothing to the soul. The only interaction he gets is when he sees other Moos gathering in Cybele's Garden or he is helping guide some poor city raised Moo back to where they belong. Even at a young age, he has learned a myriad of skills of surviving in the woods. His little cottage and garden plots are evident of this upbringing.

Most who come across him thing that he is unfriendly and stand offish, but in actuality he just stoic, stubborn, and cares deeply. He enjoys sharing his love of being in the woods or talking about an animal he is currently rehabilitating back to release back into the wild. He is quite stubborn about going to get medical help if he gets hurt himself. If Dolly finds out, she is the only one to drag to the nearest doctor. When a 6'6 Moo is being dragged by his ear, even worse by a 5'0 Moo, it's quite a sight to behold! He is actually not a fan of the doctor's office.
