An elegant, gentle moo, Maddox works at the local library in Bovine Bluffs. He adores books, especially fantasies and mysteries. Maddox even finds his cover artists through looking through fan sites and seeing artists that are into his work because he specifically wants to work with people who love his work as much as he does. Though he always works through his editors and publishers to ensure his identity remains a secret. He prefers keeping his writing life separate from his normal life and greatly values his privacy. His publishing company has asked him about going public a couple of times but always respect his refusal to do so. When it comes to the About the Author sections on his book jackets, he tends to choose an artistic photograph of nature or writing tools that give nothing away about his own appearance. He is very meticulous with choosing a picture and often goes for ones with ambient or warm lighting. A lof the the photos are taken by company photographers per his requests and there is a running joke within his editorial and publishing teams that he's going to run out of things to have pictures taken of before he ever runs out of horny ideas. Which isn't exactly wrong.

Maddox's Lapis Skylar social media pages are run carefully by him and his publicist to ensure the maximum privacy and support. One of his only real requirements for it were that it would also be used to not only promote his works, but the works of smaller authors. Thus he tends to read new works and publish small reviews and recommendations on them to help get new books and authors an audience.
