Confetti Madness | Prankster's Punishment
"I'm sorry, Anastasius." The taller pheromoo shrunk under the other's gaze. Despite her previous incident, she had been keen to continue having fun and engaging in pranks and tomfoolery. Unfortunately, that didn't work out that well the second time either. At least she didn't get kicked in the face this time- or at least, she hadn't been yet. If she didn't get started with sweeping up the confetti on the floor, she just might be. She looked down at Anastasius, who had his arms crossed and looked so mad that his makeup itself might develop wrinkles. She knew that he was a little bit of a hardass, but she hadn't expected him to feel this angry in response to a little prank... or well, as little as it could be with three party poppers going off all at once.
As she sweeped up the confetti with the small pan and broom she was given, Anastasius cleared his throat, obviously about to lecture the other pheromoo. "Raptor. We are friends, yes?" A whimper. "I hope we are." Anastasius nodded in response, beginning to walk around Raptor and weakly kick over some confetti towards the dustpan. "And friends typically understand and respect other friends' boundaries and beliefs yes?" Raptor nodded. "Now, you also know that I, for one, don't believe in the worship of gods and goddesses to the extent that most people do. And for two, you know that one of the things I ask from my friends is to not mess up my house."
Raptor looked around her, seeing all the multicolored pieces of paper that got everywhere from the carpet to the couch and even inside of some of the potted plants. "I said I'm sorry, I mean it-"
"Well, sorry doesn't cut it!" Anastasius barked, grabbing the dustpan from Raptor and dumping out the contents into a small garbage bin. "What will make me believe that you feel bad is if you clean all of this up! And I hope you don't expect me to help you, considering that I don't know why I would help you when you made this mess and proven to me that you're a horrible friend!"
That made Raptor shy away even more, but when the pan was handed back to her, she quickly went back to sweeping up. "I know- I'm sorry! I promise I'll make sure that it's spotless, no, better than spotless!" And with that, she went silent, starting to clean as quick as she could manage. Anastasius sighed, pulling out a small lollipop from his pocket and popping it into his mouth. Raptor could only hear the other's hooves as he walked away.
Of course, Anastasius didn't have to be that mean to her about it, but it wasn't about being nice to a friend, it was about making sure Raptor knew her place as his friend. If she believed that she could get away with a prank that was this destructive, who knows what she could think about trying to do to him?
Besides, he really didn't want to clean up all that confetti.
